Directly from the Division 1 State Protocols for Race:
Arrowhead High School will be hosting the Division 1 WIAA State Cross Country meet on the AHS campus on Saturday, Oct. 31. Please note this general information concerning the meet. Many more details of the meet should be noted at the WIAA webpage under State Cross Country Information.

Race #1 (Sectional 5 & 6) – 9:30am – Boys & 10:10am – Girls
(Marquette, Whitefish Bay (B&G), Muskego (G), Ken Indian Trail (B&G), Tremper (G), Badger (B)+ 10 individuals)
Race #2 (Sectional 3 & 4) – 12:30pm – Boys & 1:10pm – Girls
(Onalaska (B&G), Deforest(B), Waunakee (G), Homestead (G), Slinger (B&G), Oconomowoc (B) + 10 individuals)
Race #3 (Sectional 1& 2) – 3:30pm – Boys & 4:10pm – Girls
(Menomonie (B&G), New Richmond (B), Marshfield (G), Neenah (B), Kaukauna (G), Kimberly (B&G) + 10 individuals)

Site: Arrowhead HS – North Campus grounds Directions: Teams should enter campus from the east on Arrowhead Drive and will be directed to continue west and park in LOT D south of the building and course (north of the baseball field). From Parking LOT D teams can walk north toward the course and stop by the AHS tent. Here each school must submit their Covid 19 – coach/athlete symptom checklist verification form and pick up their race packets from AHS coaches. Teams will not be allowed on the course until 1 hour before your race for the course preview.

4:10 Boys Race #3
4:35 Spectators asked to leave course and head to parking area

4:45 Teams asked to leave course and head to parking area
5:10 Race # 3 teams must be gone (off the course and off campus)
Results and Awards – Will be compiled after the completion of all the races and results will be posted on the WIAA website ASAP after verification.

MASKS Everyone MUST wear a mask at all times before, during and after the event. Runners may take their mask off 2 minutes prior to the start of the race. Masks must not be dropped to the ground at the start of the race. Gators may be worn, or masks should be carried by the runner in some manner so that they can put the mask back on at the conclusion of the race. Coaches and all event/team personnel and spectators should keep masks on at all times.

Race Packets: Race packets can be picked up at the registration tent. The packets will include your chips, race numbers, maps, and meet information.

Team Area: Tents are not allowed per WIAA rule this year. The team camp area is south and east of the starting line on practice soccer field and adjacent green space.

WIAA Rules: Please review all WIAA rules concerning uniforms, starting procedures, etc. No dogs are allowed anywhere on the course. Masks must be worn by all in attendance and spectators must maintain physical distances of at least 6 feet from others at all times.

Restrooms – There will be portables just southeast of the finish line for spectator use. There will be several portables just southwest of the finish line for ATHLETE ONLY use.

Parking & Spectators:
All teams and participants should enter the Arrowhead Campus from the east on Arrowhead Drive (see map) Spectators will be directed north and park just east of the school in LOT F(over flow will be south of the school in Lot E). Teams will be directed to continue west and park in LOT D south of the school and the course.
Ticket Price $ 9 – all spectators will need to purchase a ticket before entering campus. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. There will be limited ticket sales so please fill out the TEAM TICKET FORM (an excel sheet). We will be using this form to check off those who will be purchasing a ticket at the entrance of campus. Please send the completed form back before the end of the day Friday.

There is no parking or entrance on the north end of the course off of HWY K or to the west off Campus Drive. Both of the roads will be marked “NO PARKING” and tickets will be assigned by the local municipality for violators.

Arrival/Departure of Spectators – Spectators should arrive as late as possible and leave the site immediately after the conclusion of the race in which their team competes.
Spectators are not allowed to stay for Multiple sessions.
Spectators should have no contact with the athletes while on the competition site. Masks – All spectators will be masked. Masks must be worn at all times. Social-distancing should be maintained throughout the course.
