I ran track and cross country in High school in Missouri and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and recently with a Carpentry certificate from NWTC. I am employed in the construction industry. This will be my 9th year coaching in the NDA CC program.
I ran my first marathon in Chicago in 1995 (1yr + 1day before my first child was born). I took 10 years off from racing, but not running to raise children. I ran the Little Rock, Arkansas marathon in 2007 placing 3rd in my division and qualified for the Boston marathon which I ran in 2008. I’ve also competed and medaled as part of a women’s team in the Chicago Triathlon for multiple years.
My husband Jon and I have been married for 29 years and have 3 children: Ruth who lives in Chicago, Jack who lives in Green Bay, and Ava a sophomore Nursing student at Marquette.
