I’m excited to join this amazing Cross Country program here at Notre Dame Academy. I don’t come to this sport with years of high school or college experience. In fact, I didn’t start running until I was in my 30’s! I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin where gymnastics and cheer were the focus of my school experience. It wasn’t until I volunteered to help with a triathlon that I even thought about running.
Over the last 18 years I have fallen in love with the sport. I have participated in 5 triathlons, countless 5K events, 10K, and in 2016 ran my first half-marathon. I have learned so much about myself through running. I try to encourage other runners whenever I can. Whether you run a 5 minute mile or a 12 minute mile , it is still a mile!
I feel SO blessed by God to have time with these great student athletes and coaches. My goal is encourage and support these runners to be the best they can be. I want to help them find their inner strength that will carry them through all aspects of life.
Outside of NDA Cross Country, I am the wife of Kelly and the mother of two amazing kids, Ellie and James. Ellie is a Junior cross country runner here at NDA. And my son James will attend NDA as a Freshmen next year. I work full time at Schreiber Foods here in Green Bay. And my dream is that I will still be running when I’m 90… my Lord willing.
